Welcome to
A Therapist Haven

Hi, I’m glad you are here.

If you're facing personal challenges that are making it hard to show up fully for your clients, the Therapist Support Group offers a space to process what you're going through alongside fellow therapists who understand.

In this group, you'll have the opportunity to reflect on where your energy and focus are most needed right now—and receive the support and insight to help you move through this difficult time with clarity and care.

A Therapist Haven: Welcome

Therapists are never ‘done’ with growth; they are simply people who should be dedicated to learning as much about themselves and others as they possibly can. The best therapists are fully human and engage in the struggles of life. Our own failures help us to remain open to the struggles of others; our personal victories give us the optimism and courage to inspire those struggling with their lives.

Meet Amy

I have been a social worker for 25 years and a psychotherapist for 15 of those years, working with adults and families as they navigate anxiety, depression, relational conflict, life transitions, and stress. My approach is rooted in family systems and person-in-environment perspectives because I believe our struggles rarely exist in isolation.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported many therapists—and I’ve also been one, intimately familiar with the ongoing tension between caring for others and making space for myself. A Therapist Haven was born from this reality: the recognition that those of us who hold space for others also need a place to pause, reflect, and be supported in return.

The Therapist Support Group is a dedicated space where you can connect with fellow therapists, receive meaningful support, and discover lasting approaches and perspectives to help you navigate the challenges in your own life.

A Therapist Haven: Why I Created The Group

I built the group I wish I'd had: confidential,

compassionate, and led by someone who gets it.

Over the past decade, I wrestled with difficult family issues while trying to stay grounded in my work as a therapist. I searched for support groups, but they either lacked experienced leadership or felt too exposed for me to speak candidly about my private life within the local therapist community. Shame kept me silent.

Instead, I leaned on close friends, family, and individual therapy. While they offered comfort, they couldn’t fully grasp how turmoil at home triggered deep self‑doubt in my professional role. That gap in understanding—and the isolation it created—drove me to build the kind of group I wish I’d had: a confidential, skillfully facilitated space where therapists can share their struggles with peers who truly understand.

HOW WILL WE DO THIS?

We’ll use a relational model to explore three key areas of your life: your relationship with yourself, others, and your work.

By examining each of these relationships, you'll gain insight into where you’re feeling stuck—and learn strategies to navigate your current challenges with more clarity and intention.

Our group is a place for connection, restoration, and support — created specifically for therapists who hold space for others.

To ensure this space remains aligned and nourishing for everyone, we ask that all new members schedule a brief consultation with Amy before joining. This is a warm, conversational call to explore whether the group is the right fit for you and your current season.
